ShortD’s Mexican Organic Decaf beans are roast to a full City Roast to bring out the nutty and sweet features with a fullness of body. This bean offering also has had 99.9% of its caffeine removed using the Swiss Water decaffeination method. These beans are a perfect choice for decaf drinkers who want a full-bodied, flavorful cup of coffee without the caffeine.
Unlike other decaf coffees, these beans are decaffeinated using the Swiss Water Process (SWP). The Swiss Water Process is a 100% natural alternative to the methylene chloride process that has become the industry standard.
There is only one SWP facility in the world, located in Vancouver, Canada. Why is it called “Swiss” and not “Canadian?” Well, because the process was originally developed in Switzerland in the 1930s.
